Where do we go?

This place will give us some protection from the Northerly swell and the easterly wind. We can get in by night, lets do it.

We headed out and smack into a bunch of niggling problems. What else would you expect.

Investigating the leak
wingssail images-judy jensen

It's hot in here investigating the source of the leak in the engine bilge, but I found it.

Site

There is water coming in from under the shaft tube. Not an easy place to do a fiberglass repair.

Phi Phi at Dawn

We'll fix the problemn today and go here this afternoon or tommorrow.

Bigger Tent

Forward: Men At Work

Aft: Wet Sanding

New Colors

The latest primer coat is black after one coat of white and several coats of grey. Between each one there were applications of filler (also known as bog or bondo, depending on your location). And always: sanding. Hand sanding, machine sanding, long boarding, wet sanding, dry sanding. Sleeves of sand paper. Cans of filler. Layers sprayed on and then sanded off: over four weeks of this.

This job is employing 5 or 6 men, but labor is cheap in Thailand so I don't mind and meanwhile the hull is getting the best fairing job it's ever had.
