The first order of business for Renee was to get the stiches in her had out. A fellow cruiser performed the medical task. Renee gets her stiches out
And Renee does her workout. This is how to keep a champion swimmer's body trim.
Renee is an open water swimmer, so is John from Carmanah. They swam around the Bay Renee goes for a swim
Meanwhile I had organized a race crew and we went out for a practice, sail trim is critical, here we adjust the mainsail tension.

I made some flags for the mark boats and the committee boat. We flew across the bay to Carmanah with the flags flying. I am sure it was a sight that was noticed: "The Race is Today". Here come the race flags
Most, if not all, made it to the bar and we got a photo. Great Crew! From the left: Dave Wegesen, Robert, Renee, Fred, Deborah, David, Jere, Gordon

It's not all racing, there are social activities too. In Tenecatita a tradition is to attend the mayor's dingy raft up. Mayor's Dingy Raft Up
In Barra, we raced on Carmanah, and after our second place we had to pick up some of the race marks. Renee did her best to delate the big marks, Now get out the good clothes for the Party in Barra
Time to sail back home to La Cruz. In February if you don't want to wait a week you are probably are going to get northerly weather and that means beating. Here is our track to La Cruz.
We had a bit of wind, enough to shorten sail but nothing to worry abou; it was good saiing, not the trip from Hell that Judy and I had in 2023.
It turned out that we were low on fuel and didn't know if we could motor very far, so when the wind died after Correinties we were trying for figure out the best route home using only the sails. How do we play this wind?
We shouldn't have worried, we had the racing genoa up when the wind filled in and the reach across the bay was scary fast. No time for photos. In fact I was worried about how we would get that big sail down in a strong breeze, but we did it. We're home
