This is a delightful yacht club at Serasa, near Maura, in Brunei. They welcomed us and allowed us to use their facilities, including the pool and washing machine, and we enjoyed great meals and the comraderie in their club house.

Bandar Seri Begawan is the capital of Brunei, and is some 15 miles up the Brunei River.

Water Village Tour

Heading Out
We hired a water taxi to take us through the water village across the river from Bandar Seri Begawan. This water village (houses on stilts) has been the prominent feature of Bandar for centuries.

The boy waved as us as we sped past. There are no railings on the walkways between houses. We wonder how often someone falls in?
