Judy and Her New Pillow

Judy recovered several of our tatty pillows. I like the pattern and color of this one.

Workout Girls

Next day we went to the gym and saw these girls lounging on the couch. Must have been too early for them.

Nice Park in San Pancho

San Pancho (also known as San Francisco) is a nice place for lunch, although our favorite BBQ place was closed.

Judy & Lynn

After lunch Judy and Lynn, with Margaritas to go, head for the car.

Rain in the Marina

We've had a lot of rain this year, and I actually love this type of weather; it must remind me of some cruising destinations I loved.

Bloodhound

This photo of the William Fife II designed 1870 Racing Cutter, Bloodhound, was on the wall on a restaurant in Ao Chalong, Thailand, in 2009 and it has been in my mind for all those years since. Now I am working on a design for a replica. I'll share with you it soon.

Mainsail replacement

Last season our new (newish) Aramid from China Sail Factory mainsail started to self destruct. In the photo below you can see the wiggly threads, which should be straight to bear the load, where the laminate is failing. CSF paid to have the sail shipped back to China for inspection and they are covering it under warranty.

Aramid Mainsail self destructing

It has taken many months to get to this point but now we've agreed with CSF that we'll order a new main and pay a reduced price, prorated for the actual usage we got out of the old one and in consideration that it was near the end of it's warranty. We're happy with that decision and now are designing the new sail. You can see some of the drawings we've made in the next photo (below).

The new sail will be bigger.

Thai Figurine

A couple of days ago Judy used this figurine (lapel pin) from Thailand at her Mexican Train dominos game. I remembered going to a dinner in Bangkok where dancers had costumes and masks like this.
