Fleur de Sel Restaurant in Trois Ilets

Empress Josephine, wife of Napoleon, was born and raised in Martinique, in the town where this restaurant lies, Trois Ilets. We visited for a look around. A very quiet place. The restaurant was very nice.

Yole Sailing Regatta, Martinique

These are the smaller of two sizes of Yole racing boats heavily competed in Martinique. We didn't see the bigger, two masted versions, but these were exciting enough, and they sailed very hard. No rudder, No keel, and no ballast except the crew. Capsizes are permenent (until a tow to shore).

Normally we have Internet on the boat but in Martinique we needed to buy another sim card, and Saturday afternoon the stores were closed. But Mango Bay offered free wi-fi and good drinks.
