Halloween

It was almost a month ago that we attended the Halloween party at Treehouse Bar with many of our friends.

First we had to shop for costumes.

Sunday Market

The great Sunday Market at Marina Riviera Nayarit started up in November and we always enjoy strolling around and seeing the sights, smells, and sale items there.

We met greeted Hiedi, Judy, Mike and Kirk at the market.

Hard to view the ongoing repairs of Alarife, but we crawled into the tent to see how it's going. There is some real progress on the hull. Maybe Alarife will sail again. See what it looked like in this blog: Alarife Wreck

One of the famous local persons in La Cruz is Dona Marie. In her 90's Dona Marie walks the town every day and collects aluminum and other trash that can be recycled.

Fred Arrives in Tacoma
My daughter and her family live in Tacoma and that is where I stopped first. On this trip Judy stayed back in Mexico. In one way this was easier: I could crash on couches when there were not spare bedrooms available.

Tom and Abe

When Tom's son Abe first visited us on Wings, in Seattle, in 1995, he was a rambunctous little kid and I threatened to stuff him into a locker, which made him cry. But he doesn't remember that. (Thankfully)

Iron Ore

The boys found rocks which had iron in them which we proved by testing them with a magnet.

Fred & Tom

15 years ago I sent Tom and Kim a box of photos, which they've kept ever since. Me and Tom finally opened them. There were seven. I didn't know what to do with them, they were too big for the boat and Tom and Kim had no room for them. They kept one, Ken kept one, and Kathy took the rest.
