Asenvari Bay
Protected and beautiful, Asenvari Bay on Maewo Island in Vanuatu is a favorite stopping spot for cruisers. Late in the season in 2002 there was only one other boat besides Wings, NOASON, left.
Asenvari Beach
Quiet and Sunny, the beach at Asenvari is wonderful for swimming or snorkeling, and the new Asenvari Yacht Club is just behind the trees.
Asenvari Yacht Club Building
By November the buildings were up and the Bamboo siding and Natangora Palm roof were being added. Inside, hot showers, toilets, and a full kitchen give the Yacht Club amenities a five star rating by Maewo Island standards.
Chief Nelson
Visionary and cantankerous politician, Chief Nelson is a major factor at Asenvari, as Gene Mim-Mack and Robbie Springs came to know during the five month project

In the schoolyard the kids of Asenvari posed with Judy Jensen, from WINGS, for a photo.
Kids in Field
School work in hand, Asenvari kids cavort after school.
Gene and Robbie's 60 ft Laurie Davidson Ferro-cement ketch served as cruising yacht and supply boat for the project.
Village Scene
Asenvari village, like most in Vanuatu, is clean and neat.

Waterfall 2
In a hot and humid climate, a daily trip to the waterfall on Asenvari was a must.
