Turnbuckle


We found a crack in a turnbuckle and placed a spare turnbuckle alongside to help carry the load. This failure, with the broken shroud, really convinced us that the rig needed a total replacemement. Tough to consider in Tonga

With a spare piece of wire rigged and the broken rod coiled and tied off, we are sailing again.

A handfull of Mexican bulldog clamps connects a spare piece of wire into a temporary shroud and gets us sailing again
