Judy Chilling Out

After an afternoon shopping in Singapore, Judy chills out at Raffles Hotel while I wander around with a camera looking for my history.

Jungle and Highrise

Singapore is a low lying island 1 degree of latitude from the equator. Lush jungle is prevalent here, but now the glass and steel highrise is as much a part of Singapore as the leafy green.

Singapore

The Singapore Skyline as seen from the ONE15 Marina at Sentosa Cove. The view from here is good, and we like the central location. Now if only they can get this place finished, it will be great.

Reading

Fred Reading

When the days are slow I like to spend some quality time in the shade with music, a good book, with the windvane standing watch, and hopefully covering some miles.

Black Squall

At this point we were still enjoying the spectacular view of it. Later we had other things on our minds than looking at the view.

After The Squall

It was still daylight when the worst of the squal was over and we were sailing slowly under reduced sail. But the wind blew all night.

Singapore Flag

We sewed this flag on the passage from Brunei, using spinnaker cloth and our Sailrite Sailmaker machine. The last day of work on it was four hours of sewing all the little bits while we sailed on a beam reach at 6.5 knots. Good thing the seas were down, or this flag might have had a few more slip-ups.

The Last Thirty Miles to Singapore

We finaly got some wind and had a nice sail going into Singapore, but the predominate feeling was that this 30 miles into Singapore was a bit different from the 30 miles we used to sail going into Seattle.
