Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island and Natcho and Ana
This wide and open bay is easy to enter, even at night, and that is one reason why we felt comfortable arriving after dark.
Hilly Pigeon Island was a gun implacement and lookout site in the late 1800's. Admiral Rodney based his fleet at St Lucia and after spying the French fleet from Pigeon Island, intercepted them and defeated them in 1878.
We hiked up here with Natcho and Ana during our visit to Rodney Bay.
Natcho Postigo and Ana are sailing in their beautiful custom 38' yacht MCM86. Natcho is a professional navigator who sails at the highest levels of competitive sailing. We met them in Grenada and enjoyed thier company. Natcho and I talked boats endlessly.
