Fast Sailing and Boat Work

With two of us, one releases the jib, grinds in the new runner (Judy is doing both) then turns and grinds in the other jib sheet. The other person steers and releases the old runner. We took it easy on this run to Pta Mita, just three tacks in. Usually we'd do about 13. But it was fast enough.

Chain Mystery

How did this chain get to be half black? We don't know.

The Merc needs work

We took the carburator off and cleared the jets, then replaced the broken start rope. Now it runs better

The Hydraulic Pump needed replacing

We tried to rebuild this pump but no luck, so we put on the spare. wingssail images-fredrick roswold

Wrong size filter (on the left)

We were surprised to find that some of our filters were the wrong size.

The list

This is the list of April and May. We were busy every day. One day it was really rolly at Pta Mita, this is a first for us here. We'll try to avoid this.
