Little Birds want to build a nest in our Boom

Young Parents, I think
We knew what these two were interested in and we did everything we could think of to discourage them (except tape up all the openings). In the end we let them do their thing but we tossed out their nest material whenever it accumulated very much.

This bird has a feather to put in the nest
By this point they were mostly ignoring us sitting 24" away.
But still watching
When they came in and I put up the camera they broke off.

(By the way, the above photograph has been modified. The bird's right wing was not visible. The original image is below)

But once they get inside, they don't even pay us any attention.

This is what they were doing, not very organized
What? You're leaving?
In the end we left the anchorage and they flew off.
They finally flew away.
Shopping
We needed some supplies so we drove the dingy around to San Blas, 9 mile round trip.
The town was quiet and we got in, did our shopping, and got out.

Good Old Merc 15 hp two stroke
I used to entertain the natives in Melanesia by saying to them just before I tried to start my trusty Merc, "Mercury, Number 1, Made in the USA, One pull". And usually it would start at that point. Now it's 20 years old, had been dunked three times, twice while running, and it will still start on one pull if the fuel line connection is good. I got'ta fix that, never know when a native might be watching.

Chacala
We've been coming to Chacala for years but never went to shore there. This time we stayed a few nights and we did go to town. It was also quiet.

Chacala Anchorage
Three boats here, all are fin keel performance cruisers, all have Monitor Wind Vanes. No crab crushers here at this time.
The beach is empty
The streets quiet

Surfing
The other two boats, Summer with John on board (an old friend), and new friends Brook and Jenna on Kognita are all avid surfers and they have been hanging out here to go surfing every day at La Caleta about 2 miles up the coast from the anchorage. We took the dingy up there to shoot some photos.
