Arrival In Mauritius

After we rounded Cap Malheureux at Mauritius' northmost point the sailing changed. The water became flat, the wind steady, the sun warm but not hot. We were amazed as we passed the island of Mauritius on our port side. It seemed developed and modern, as well as having rugged terrain and sun bleached hills and beaches. Beautiful!
After 18.5 days at sea, we're here, and we can't wait to see it up close.

La Caudan Marina & ARC Around the World Rally Boats
The 20 boats making a 18 month dash around the world as part of the ARC Around the World Rally have filled up the marina. We knew they'd be here and were worried about this.

But we got a spot on the outside wall, It's OK. At Least we're here.
